  • Robert Herrera, BA

    ARC Case Manager

    He, Him, His

Robert Herrera is a person in long term recovery from Substance Abuse and Co-Occurring Disorders. In April 2019 he began his journey through recovery. At the same time, he graduated from FIU with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. Since his time in recovery, Robert has had the opportunity to serve his community by providing support to the homeless population in Miami-Dade County at Camillus House for three years. During that time, Robert has helped many persons experiencing homelessness to gain access to homeless shelters, treatment centers and housing opportunities. Robert strives to serve his community and give back what was freely given to him, just as when he walked through the doors of recovery and someone Robert didn't know offered a helping hand to a stranger who was sick and suffering. Robert is currently in school again and continuing his education, in which he said before recovery "was something I could never have imagined."

  • Norberto Segredo

    Peer Specialist

    He/Him/His

Norberto Segredo is in long-term recovery from substance and behavioral addictions. He understands firsthand the struggles and challenges that come with addiction and has personally taken on the task of using his experience to help others.

Throughout his recovery journey, he has discovered the transformative power of meditation, nutrition, exercise, and service. Norberto believes that true change happens in the unconscious mind and that the mind must be reprogrammed to achieve lasting change. That's why he has embraced the teachings of Bob Proctor as a foundational part of his recovery.

In addition to his passion for recovery, Norberto is also an entrepreneur. In 2020, he opened his collectible business called Habitatenterprise LLC. As a lifelong learner, he remains committed to personal growth and development and understands the importance of pursuing his passions.

Norberto understands that recovery is not a one-size-fits-all journey and believes in working collaboratively with others to find the best approach for each individual. Whether it's through community outreach, peer support, or education, he is passionate about helping others overcome addiction and achieve their goals in life."
