  • Co-Response with First Responders

    Data from Public Safety Agencies across the nation shows that a “Peer Specialist Co-Response Model” has a much higher efficacy rate in regards to agency desired outcomes, reduces recidivism, and saves the local community many more dollars on average (per case) than a Clinician-Led Co-Response Model.

  • Certified Event Interventionists

    Our Peer Specialists are also Certified Event Interventionists. They have boots on the ground experience working with peers in crisis, utilizing their own lived experience to deescalate situations while also providing connections to our cross system partnerships in Miami-Dade County.

  • Veteran Crisis Intervention

    Our Peer Specialists are led by one of the top Veteran Peer Specialists in the nation. “Walking With Warriors” is a 6 CEU in-depth training that provides the Unique Cultural Data and trends of the Veteran Community, and how to properly utilize both the VA and outside systems of care. There is no other organization in the USA that has the type of Veteran Ready Co-Response Model that we provide in Miami-Dade County.

  • MDC Leaders in Opioid Overdose Response and Naloxone Distribution

    Miami Recovery Project’s Harm-Reduction efforts, focused on Naloxone Training for Opioid Overdoses and Reversals, leads the ROSC Southern Region. MRP has trained over 400 MDC residents in 2023 alone, and distributed over 4000 doses of life saving Narcan.

    Further, MRP’s Project: REBIRTH is the official Narcan training partner of the Florida National Guard, and has trained nearly 250 Soldier Leaders since 2022 via its partnership with the FLNG for Peer Supportive Services across the State of Florida.

  • Miami-Dade Homeless Trust Street Outreach Team

    Our Neighborhood Support Team (NeST) is also funded as a Street Outreach Team for the unhoused of Miami-Dade County by the Federal Department of Housing & Urban Development in coordination with the Miami-Dade Homeless Trust. Our ability to utilize multiple funding sources to rapidly re-house individuals in need, while working towards supportive, permanent housing, in an unparalleled resource in Miami-Dade County.

    Our Neighborhood Support Team (NeST) is also supervised by a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) Registered Supervisor for the State of Florida.
